My excuse...I just had a baby :) ok so I had a baby almost 6 months ago but what's your excuse. I will admit it I have struggled getting the rest of my baby weight off but at least I'm trying. It took 9 months (or 10 depending on who you ask) to put it on so it's not going to come off over night. Unless you are a freak of nature and bounced right back into your size 2 jeans like a few of my friends. But regardless of how fast, or slow in my case, the weight is coming off I am determined to make it happen. My New Years Resolution is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and to run my first 5K - Race for the Cure in June!! I'm pretty stoked about it. I've never been a "long distance runner" but hey I said I wasn't a blogger and here I am :) blogging!
I try to mind my business at the gym. Get in. Workout. Get out. I keep to myself for the most part and I try not to worry about the people around me. Today was different though. I couldn't help but notice two individuals on the treadmills in front of me. Now I workout at Planet Fitness and its the "Judgement Free Zone"...now I wasn't judging, I was...admiring...to my left was an elderly woman wearing a nice shirt (not a t-shirt), capris, black panty hose and loafers :) to my right a middle age man wearing a button down Oxford with slacks and dress shoes. Now more power to them and kudos for working on your fitness but I think it's time to invest in some appropriate workout attire.
Needless to say these two distracted me from staring at the time and helped me finish my run (without dying I might add) and I felt amazing once I was done. Losing weight one pound at a time.
